Microsoft Access can't start because there is no license for it on this machine.

This tech doc explains how to reinstall Office 97 when Access runtime.exe has been installed on top of Access 97.

1.        First we will remove Office 97. Click "Control Panel"

2.        Double click "Add/Remove Programs" and remove Office 97.

3.        Insert the Office 97 cd-rom. If the Office 97 starts to install, cancel the installation.

4.        Click "Start"

5.        Click "Run"

6.        Enter "d:\setup.exe /y" (no quotes). where "d:" is the drive letter for your cd-rom.

7.        Click "OK", this will install a fresh copy of Office 97 on your machine and eliminate the Access license error.
